We exist to prevent the abuse of CRISPR on animals.
CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats)/Cas (CRISPR associated) is a gene-editing technology first created in 2012[19]. Thanks to its ease of use and wide potential, the technology has quickly spread its way across the life sciences, including animal science. Though it can be used to improve the lives of animals, it is also able to and is being used to further exploit and harm these creatures. These practices can and have also hurt our enviromment and other people.
Join our cause.
CRISPR/Cas can perpetuate animal suffering and harm the environment and people as collateral damage. We can change this. Become a member to join our fight for a more equitable and safer future.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to combatting the ethical concerns of CRISPR/Cas in regards to animal gene editing to prevent potentially dangerous abuse of these technologies.
Our Action Plan
We are aimed at raising awareness within the scientific community of the ethical concerns surrounding CRISPR/Cas in the field of animal science, uniting like-minded members, and demanding legislation and institutions that will help regulate the use of CRISPR/Cas in animals.
